ברכות חמות לפרופ' דרור ורמן (החוג להיסטוריה וראש תכנית עמיתי מרטין בובר) על זכייתו בפרס רוטשילד, אחד הפרסים היוקרתיים בארץ לשנת 2026.

הפרס מוענק לפרופסור ורמן  "על חיבור רמת המיקרו למאקרו בהבנת ראשית העת החדשה, ועל  רתימת ההיסטוריה התרבותית של אירועים, דמויות, יצירות אמנות, אנקדוטות ופרקטיקות שוליות לכאורה להנהרת השאלות הגדולות של המודרניות".

אנחנו מברכים את פרופ' ורמן, שמחים אתו על זכייתו ועל כך שהוא חלק מהפקולטה שלנו.

Warm Congratulations to Prof. Dror Wahrman (Department of History and Director of the Martin Buber Society of Fellows) who has been named as recipient of the 2026 Rothschild Prize in Humanities, one of the most prestigious academic awards in Israel.

The prize is awarded to Professor Wahrman in recognition of his path-breaking scholarship that "bridges the micro and macro levels in understanding the early modern period, and for mobilizing cultural history—through events, figures, works of art, anecdotes, and seemingly peripheral practices—to illuminate the great questions of modernity."

We warmly congratulate Professor Wahrman, rejoice with him in his achievement, and are proud that he is part of our faculty.
